Zane R. Helsel, Ph.D, is the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Specialist in agriculture energy. He leads a program with USDA-NRCS in New Jersey to work on comprehensive nutrient management plans for horse and other livestock operations in the state. His agronomic Extension and research interests are in forage quality and pasture management and he has served as a liaison to the Northeast Pasture Research and Extension Consortium.
